103/13                          Councillors’ reports/questions.

Cllr A Glass reported that people were starting to be connected to the faster broadband service, being provided by Spectrum.  Speeds of 7.5 – 14 meg were being experienced, which was much faster that the ½ a meg that many previously had access to.

Council discussed the admin requirements and advised that Spectrum could collect the forms.  There was a local person that could help with setting up the routers if anyone was having difficulties.

There had been some problems with BT, some customers were extremely unhappy with BT due to intermittent connection problems.  Spectrum had come to fit the modems and could get an internet connection at these problem properties.

Some people were making complaints to Offcom about BT.

Cllr M Williams reported that surfers were parking along the lane by the Oxwich Bay Hotel on the yellow lines when the surf was up in Oxwich.  This area is not policed, is there anyone that the Council can contact?

Cllr  R Lewis advised that all double yellow lines were under the jurisdiction of the CCS.  There were 30 traffic wardens and this amount would not cover Oxwich.

Council noted the problem.
